What Economic System that Suitable with Indonesia?
First, lets we discuss what is capitalism? Capitalism is an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state. Capitalistic ownership means two things. First, the owners control the factors of production. Second, they derive their income from their ownership. That gives them the ability to operate their companies efficiently. It also provides them with the incentive to maximize profit. This incentive is why many capitalists say "Greed is good”. Individual capitalists are typically wealthy people who have a large amount of capital (money or other financial assets) invested in business, and who benefit from the system of capitalism by making increased profits and thereby adding to their wealth. A capitalist nation is dominated by the free market, which is an economic system in which both prices and production are dictated by corporations and private companies in competition with one another, and places a heavy focus on private property, economic growth, freedom of choice, and limited government intervention
With that explanation, I am not agree if my country,, Indonesia join this capitalism system. It is right that this capitalism system citizen can develop their own ideas. But how about the people who do not have enough creativity or lack competitive skill will compete with other people who is more competitive than them. Of course it will make a high difference in social gap in Indonesia. This system will make the rich people become richer and poor people became poorer. This fact will make the social welfare in Indonesia getting worse. And make us foreber to be developing country than a developed country.
I think Indonesia is better to join communism system. Communism system is a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs. In a true communist economy, the community makes decisions. In most communist countries, the government makes those decisions on their behalf. This system is called a command economy. The leaders create a plan that outlines their choices. It's executed with laws, regulations, and directives. The goal of the plan is to give to "each according to his need”. The state owns businesses on behalf of the workers. In effect, the government owns a monopoly. The government rewards company managers for meeting the targets detailed in the plan. In communism, central planners replace the forces of competition and the laws of supply and demand that operate in a market economy.
So with that explanation, indonesia suitable with comunism system. Especially Indonesian citizens is in very large number. So it will be difficult if the government should listen one by one the opinion of their citizen. With this system, government can decide directly what is good for the country, without any resistance from the community. If the government always listen to their citizen’s opinion, our country will take a long time to became a developed country. And the other reason is if Indonesia join this communism system, the social gap between rich people and poor people will decrease instantly. And it will make the social welfare in Indonesia getting better and better than before. The high social welfare reflect that the country have a good development. And it can be the good start to make Indonesia become a developed country.
We can take an example from China who join the commusim system. The government in China are so strict with their citizen. The law in China is very impartial, they do not consider if the victim is an influentian people in their country or not. If they are wrong, they will get the punishment that suit with their mistake. While the law in Indonesia is very weak. The government can not be strict with the citizen. That is why the Indonesian people who is important in this country are not fear with the law in Indonesia. Because they will be defended. While for the poor people, the law in Indonesia is not fair for them. It is like all the mistakes is the poor people fault, because they can not pay the lawyer to defend them. So to repair this flaw, we must change our system from capitalism system become cummunism system. So that the citizen who is an influentant people can not haphazardly to tread the poor people. So everyone must obey the existing rules in Indonesia.
I am as the next generation should prepare mentaly and physically to deal with the global competition. Especially right now there are AEC (ASEAN Economiv Community). So I can not lose with other country in this global competition. I should have a potential which is beneficial for my country, Indonesia. And Imust make Indonesia proud because of my potential. So my next generation can not be ashamed with their country, Indonesia.
