Third world challenge
Third world challenge
The world was divided into three parts. The first world, second world, and third world. The term "First World" refers to so called developed, capitalist, industrial countries, roughly, a bloc of countries aligned with the United States after World War II, with more or less common political and economic interests: North America, Western Europe, Japan and Australia. "Second World" refers to the former communist-socialist, industrial states, (formerly the Eastern bloc, the territory and sphere of influence of the Union of Soviet Socialists Republic) today: Russia, Eastern Europe (e.g., Poland) and some of the Turk States (e.g., Kazakhstan) as well as China. "Third World" are all the other countries, today often used to roughly describe the developing countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America. When people talk about the poorest countries of the world, they often refer to them with the general term Third World.
Capitalism is an economic system based on private ownership of the means of productionand their operation for profit. Capitalism’s supporters believe in several key points: Economic freedom leads to political freedom and having a state-owned means of production can lead to federal overreach and authoritarianism. They also believe that the competition between companies benefits consumers by making products more affordable, and that capitalism’s dog-eat-dog atmosphere encourages people to work harder to achieve their dreams. They are likely to dismiss anti-capitalists’ concerns about inequality and oppression by saying that rich people are rich because they are more productive than their poorer counterparts. Anti-capitalists view capitalism as an inhuman, anti-democratic, unsustainable, deeply exploitative system that must be dismantled.
And what would I do to meet the demand of the third world challenge ? The term third world has now changed to a developing country. I think the demands of the third world are a big challenge, where we do not take sides or do not join developed countries such as countries that are in the first or second world. If I am in the third world it must be a difficult choice. If I don't join, I will live in poverty, because all this time the third world is defined as a peripheral country dominated by core countries in the world systemic economic division. Countries including the third world have very high population growth, while the skills, development and technology they have are lacking. So if I become part of the third world I will make use of all the help that has been given by the first world and the second world as well as possible. Because they are competing to help, then we as a third world also cannot remain silent, we must be active so that our country can also progress like them. If they want to help an industry, then we must be able to develop the industry by ourselves so we do not continue to depend on them.
Because competition in the world today is no longer known as mercy. The weak is theone who loses the strong he who survives. And if we have good natural resources for our future, do not let our natural resources be controlled by other countries. We must be able to manage it ourselves. As we know now the successful country is Saudi Arabia with its gold mine. Whereas Saudi Arabia was included in the third world at that time. So there is nothing impossible. Maintain what we have and develop. Qualified human resources also affect the progress of a country, therefore a good education system is needed. And we also need to change the mindset of a society to become an advanced and modern society that can deal with any problems that might occur in the future. For the problem of joining or not with capitalist, it is actually a problem that must be considered because the joining of the capitalist state can be harmful or beneficial for us.
Competing with large industries like the first world industry is very difficult. Because they have mastered the world market with their products. People are more interested in products that have big brands or famous brands rather than new brands that are home-based industries whose quality is not much different. Many developing countries have high levels of consumers to buy products from other countries. They do not respect the needs of their own country so it is difficult to become a developed country because they do not want to respect the work of their own people. If we are controlled by the products of this large company, the small industry will become bankrupt in a short time due to this intense competition. So we must be smart in managing a business. Because actually what we do now affects the next generation too. We must be creative and optimistic people.
We must have extraordinary unique thoughts, have big dreams to be developed countries. Be it in the fields of industry, technology, fashion, or whatever. As a developing country, we certainly will not want to continue to be a country like this, so it is not only the government that tries hard but the people's participation here is very necessary. So what I do to face the challenges of the third world is to always work hard, open up, and invite people to not stay in their comfort zone for long, but to invite them to come out and want to improve our country, of course based on quick spirit and thought . Then what I can inherit for the next generation of course they can inherit all the efforts we have, they must be able to develop it better than us and continue to struggle without giving up. Because it is more difficult to maintain than achieving something.
